Hola, Bonjour, Guten Tag, 你好, Shalom,
On behalf of your Editors-in-Chief, Daniel Braun and Callie Milner, welcome to this semester’s edition of the Worldly Roman! We are bringing you terrific new articles on a wide range of topics in a number of different languages and about different cultures. Each article is written in a world language other than English, but if you do not know the language, feel free to read the English summary at the top! This issue contains stories on topics such as elections in France, how to deal with quarantining with Covid-19, and recipes to try at home. You can also learn more about Hungary and explore the dangers of plastic. Thank you to all of our writers for working so hard! Feel free to leave comments or questions below the articles (in any language!). We would also like to thank our fabulous language editors: Sabrina Hayes (French Editor), Mia Lapiere (Chinese Editor), and Amanda Valenzuela (Spanish Editor). A great big thank you to the Worldly Roman advisor, Mme. Cousin. We would also like to thank all of the language teachers who helped edit our articles: Profe Espejo, Profe Pérez, and Di Lao Shi. We really appreciate all of the teachers’ time, guidance, and support.
If you have any questions or are interested in writing for our next issue, please contact us or any one of our editors.
